I recently watched two excellent documentaries that detail the horrific repercussions of failed judicial systems. Girl 27 is a story of a rape victim’s courageous, yet unsuccessful fight against the politics and influence of the Hollywood machine. Dear Zachary:A Letter to a Son About His Father shows the devastating results of Canada’s flimsy bail system. I recommend both, but be prepared to feel as if someone punched you in the stomach. These films will make you angry, as well as break your heart.
